Abstract

We analyse the relationship between the vegetation and the biodiversity of entomofauna in the Biodiversity Center of the National University of San Martín in the rainy and dry season at altitude levels of 720 and 1 000 m.a.s.l. determining the alpha (α) and beta (β) diversity parameters of the entomofauna. For alpha (α) diversity in the dry season, a greater richness of morphospecies was observed in secondary forest, with 50 species. For beta (β) in the dry season, 20% of its composition was observed in common with the remaining sampling stations. The alpha (α) diversity in the humid season, a higher richness of morphospecies was observed in secondary forest with 38 species and the high purma vegetation unit with 14 species being in the last position, this station had a lower number of individuals. Regarding beta (β) diversity, in the humid season it was observed that the purma arthropods present 20% of their composition in common with the remaining sampling stations and the highest value of 31% similarity between stations was detected sampling. For beta in both seasons, it is reported that the greatest amount of species in common occurs in the humid season in the secondary forest.
