Abstract

The study evaluated the inclusion of pole bean (Cajanus Cajan L, Millsp.) foliage flour in the feeding of broiler chickens at different concentrations (5.0%, 10.0%, 15.0% and 20.0%) on the "Dos" farm. Hermanos" in Buena Fe, Paraíso la 14. A completely randomized design was used with five treatments and four repetitions, with seven broilers per experimental unit. Key parameters such as feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion, carcass yield and profitability were evaluated at intervals of 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days. The results indicated that the different concentrations of foliage flour did not significantly affect the productive parameters. However, it was found that treatments with an inclusion of 5% and 10% of foliage meal showed greater economic profitability, with a benefit-cost ratio of 34% and a profitability of $2.24 and $2.27 respectively. It was concluded that the inclusion of foliage meal did not significantly impact the performance of broiler chickens, but the 5% and 10% inclusion levels were more favorable from an economic perspective, being relevant for the poultry industry in the search for alternatives. profitable foods.
