We inform the community that the Revista de Veterinaria y Zootecnia Amazónica has updated the design of its web portal, in addition to its editorial and section policies.
Read more about Portal updateThe Revista de Veterinaria y Zootecnia Amazónica (e-ISSN: 2810-8175) is an open access journal edited by the Fondo Editorial of the Universidad Nacional de San Martín, in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Its mission is to disseminate the knowledge produced by the academic-scientific community in the field of veterinary sciences, especially in the areas of animal production and health, public health and veterinary medicine. The journal aims to publish original and unpublished articles of great relevance to society every six months in Spanish.

Este mamífero de interés zootécnico desempeña un papel importante en los sistemas de producción pecuaria debido a su aprovechamiento para la obtención de carne, lana y otros subproductos. La especie se encuentra ampliamente distribuida en diversas regiones del mundo y se adapta a diferentes condiciones ambientales. En la imagen se aprecia una cría en reposo, destacándose por su docilidad dentro de las instalaciones del Centro de Investigación Académico Miraflores (CAIM).
