Colonies of Cacicus cela protected by indigenous Waraos from the jungle population of Nabasanuka (Venezuela): a perfect symbiosis

It is reported for the first time in this jungle area of the Lower Delta and particularly for the population of Nabasanuka (9°02′35″N 61°29′13″W) Antonio Díaz municipality of Delta Amacuro State, Venezuela, the presence of four colonies peridomestic species of the Common Jay, Cacicus cela (Linnaeus, 1758) nesting mainly on mango trees (Manguifera indica) adjacent to their homes and highlights the peaceful coexistence of these birds in perfect harmony with the Waraos, indigenous people who farm within their ancestral customs, the protection of the environment and all living beings that sustain it.
