Governance, political organization, women's participationAbstract
This article has been developed in response to the problem generated because, throughout history, there is no gender equality in political organizations; that is, women represent a minimum percentage of leaders and authorities. Therefore, the study has been proposed with the objective of analyzing female participation in political organizations, in the scientific literature of the last 5 years. The type of research was a literature review and 17 articles from the scientific databases Scopus, Pubmed, Scielo and Web Of Science were considered for the elaboration of results and conclusions. It was concluded that female participation in political organizations is limited because there is a low percentage of women leaders who make relevant political decisions, despite the continuous changes in legislation and the positive figures of recent years, which highlights the need to address the shortcomings and deficiencies.
