Access to the internet and ICT as factors for the strengthening of quality education in Lamas

This research emphasizes the need to understand the role of internet access and information and communication technologies (ICTs) in strengthening education in the Lamas district in 2023, with a focus on recognizing connectivity gaps. Its objective was to understand the nature of internet and ICT access for the development of quality education in Lamas in 2023. The research was basic in nature, with a qualitative approach and a grounded theory design. Data was collected through interviews using an interview guide. The results showed that most participants acknowledged the existence of internet and ICT access in the area and highlighted its importance in educational processes; however, divided perceptions were identified regarding compliance with educational standards and government actions to improve connectivity. It was concluded that internet and ICT access are relevant factors for quality education, and their effective impact depends on comprehensive policies that integrate connectivity, teacher training, and guidance on the educational use of these tools.
