Virtual teaching and the effect of learning in the Physical Sports Activities course

The general objective of this study was to determine the effect of virtual teaching and learning in the area of Physical and Sports Activities on first-year students at the National University of San Martín in 2022. To this end, a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study was conducted, employing a basic, hypothetical-deductive method. The study population consisted of first-year students at the National University of San Martín, and the sample comprised 130 students. Data was collected using a survey. The instruments used were a questionnaire on teaching performance and an attitude questionnaire. The hypothesis was to demonstrate whether virtual teaching has positive effects on learning in the Physical and Sports Activities course for university students. The Likert scale was used, with high reliability in both cases. According to the results, it is concluded that 69.2% of the students rated the effects of virtual teaching and learning in the area of Physical Sports Activities as good, 25.4% rated it as fair, and 5.4% stated that it was not good at all.
